Tom Kite is a retired professional golfer from the United States. He was born on December 9, 1949, in McKinney, Texas. Kite turned professional in 1972 and had a successful career on the PGA Tour.
Throughout his career, Kite won 19 PGA Tour events, including the prestigious U.S. Open in 1992. He also had over 30 top-10 finishes in major championships. Kite was known for his consistent play and precision on the course, earning him the nickname "Mr. Consistency."
In addition to his success on the PGA Tour, Kite also played on several international teams, including the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup teams. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2004 in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to the sport.
